Old Stables

The Old Stables started life to house the horses of the nearby grand properties in Monkseaton. Since then it has had a variety of business uses, from a glass workshop in the 40’s to a mechanics garage to a fire extinguisher business before we purchased it.

We tried many different layouts before settling with what we have here which uses the space to the maximum providing an ensuite bathroom and bedroom downstairs. The upside down living arrangement gives the living area the benefit of many windows and views down the street.
